Natural Crystal Deodorant

I bought this deodorant at my local health food store.I was looking for an alternative to the usual drug-store deodorants, many of which contain the potentially harmful ingredient aluminum. Aluminum is known by some to cause alzheimers and cancer. Also, my skin is sensitive to many of the commercial non-aluminum products which cause me to develop a rash around the applied area.The only ingredients in naturally fresh are mineral salts(Ammonium Alum). This product, as I discovered, is not an anti-perspirant, just an odor protector. It has no scent and leaves no residue. The directions call for you to moisten the crystal before you apply and cover the entire area of your underarm in order to be protected. It claims to form a "protective barrier against odor-causing bacteria.I would say that I perspire on an average level unless mowing the lawn in the dead of summer, or doing something equally strenuous. Even so, I was uncomfortable with the results. It may have kept odor at bay, but not sweat. I really wanted this non-harmful product to work better than it did. But at this price($2.50) and for the sake of your health, its worth trying for yourself.
