Nature's Miracle Carpet Freshening Powder By cafn8me on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Housebreaking a puppy is no easy task, and accidents are inevitable. My poor area rug has been shampooed nearly to death since we got our puppy this past March. But my husband found this product while in PetCo one day, and we've had great luck using it as an in-between-shampoos way to keep our carpets odor-free.

The idea behind this product is quite similar to Carpet Fresh: you sprinkle it liberally onto the affected area and wait a while (30 minutes is the recommended time for this particular product), then vacuum it up. The baking soda in this product helps neutralize odors and its light, vaguely citrusy fragrance leaves behind a pleasant, clean smell.

The only downside to this product is the container...it lacks a "shaker" style top, which I think would be far more convenient. But it's still a great product at a reasonable price.
