If you want a basketball simulation, there is no better choice than NBA 2K8. This is the best basketball simulation on any platform as it trumps NBA LIVE 08 and NBA 08. NBA LIVE 08 does have the best graphics, but the overall package that NBA 2K8 provides is far greater than any other game. 2K8 has great graphics and solid gameplay. It offers dynasty, season, quick play, and black top modes. Black top game modes include the new slam dunk contest, which I think is fun but is nothing to buy the game over. The game play itself is very smooth because it runs at a slick 60 frames per second. The AI is much improved over 2K7 but it still has some problems. The AI on offense is the best I have ever seen as they will pick you apart if you get lost defensively. All in all, if you want a basketball game, buy this one.
