About Nerds

-Began to be manufactured in 1983

-Manufactered by Nestle under the Willy Wonka brand

-Nerds began when a factory worker coated leftover candy pieces with flavorings

-Nerds became successful because of its strategy of including two flavors in one package

-Some Nerds contain two flavors in one

-Nerds at one time had a special cereal but was discontinued

-Nerds are basically sucrose crystals with a carnauba wax coating

My Experience

I have liked Nerds even as a kid. The candy is tangy and has a variety of flavors. This particular Costco offering offers the classic Strawberry / Grape combination and Sour Lemon / Apple combination. This isa sweet deal. Not only are the combination of flavors appealing but the price is also favorable. It is only less than 52 cents per box. Not a bad price for this candy. This candy is excellent to include during occassions during Christmas and Halloween and good as giveaways during parties as well.
