Nerf Controller For Playstation 2 By Rathborne on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Pelican's Nerf controller for the Playstation 2, in spite of it's unusual make, is one of the best controllers, wireless or wired, available for the PS2.

The controller is derivative of Sony's Dual Shock controller, but the extended grip provide a slightly different feel, emphasized by the Nerf foam making up the majority of the controller. Face buttons are laid out identically to the regular PS2 controller, as are shoulder buttons. The shoulder buttons size and spacing differs considerably from the original Sony controller, which does require some getting used to.

Structurally, the Nerf controller is sturdy, and there is enough material to protect the internal components from all but the fiercest assaults. My only complaint is that the battery cover requires a screwdriver to remove to replace spent batteries. This is minor, but still inconvenient when the necessary tool isn't available.

Overall, the nerf controller is an excellent buy. At less than controllers only half as comfortable and durable, the Nerf controller makes an excellent replacement for gamer's looking for a new controller.
