Nestle Good Start Formula
By Tamara Walter onWhen my Son was about six months old we tried Nestle Good Start Formula with DHA and ARA, and, even though my Son didn't seem to notice a difference in the taste, he sure did notice the fact that no matter what Mom or Dad tried, the formula just wouldn't break down properly when we made a bottle for him and it would just have big lumps in it, so the bottle kept getting clogged up and all he did was scream!
This happened every time we made him a bottle, whether the water was luke warm, or pretty warm, it just didn't make a difference! We tried everything we could think of to get it to break down properly. We shook it up after we put each indiviual scoop of formula in, we shook and shook and shook, and still no change.
Adventually we gave up on the formula, since we never had problems with the previous brand we used, we just went back to using it instead. It was a real shame though, since Nestle advertises their "comfort proteins", if you can get the formula to stop clumping and clogging up the nipple, then perhaps the "comfort proteins" would kick in? But who wants feeding their baby to be such a hassle? I sure don't.

I used this for a couple months with my daughter. The best way I found to mix it up without the shaking was to put it in the blender. I'd measure out how much she'd need for the day and make one batch in the morning, dividing it out into individual bottles. Made things soooo much easier! Just thought I'd share that. I'm sure it would be helpful with any formula you need to mix.
