Net Gear Router Connects All Of Us Online By dade on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

With all of the different computers being used throughout the house, it was time to get a wireless router. We have a city wide router, but the speed is so slow, unless you want to pay the city for a higher connection; which a did not. The whole idea of a citywide router service, was to provide the community, not try and nickel and dime the residents.

I went over to "Staples" for a few items, then got sidetracked by the wireless routers. After looking them over, I chose the Netgear, Super-G router. All of our computers did not need any cards, or adapting, so it was pretty clear cut.

If you don't know what a wireless router does, it lets everyone with a computer, in the house, piggy back on one internet provider account, without paying extra fees. Therefore, in time, the router will pay for itself in a few months time. Nifty deal, right?

Our router came with everything I needed. The manual, and USB adaptor. All I needed to do, was to get it hooked up and configured correctly. I have a friend for this. He came over and within about 10 minutes, we were in.

Before you buy a router, talk to someone about compatibility issues with your different computers. You might need additional accessories.
