Neuromancer By William Gibson By freesoma on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Neuromancer is William Gibson's first and best book. It is the first book in the Sprawl trilogy and takes place in a distant future where cyberspace controls the world. This is a very important science fiction book; Gibson basically predicted the future of the internet and many of his ideas became reality.

The book is an excellent sci-fi story that blends action with a sort of technological mystery; the reader is always trying to figure out what the motives of the AI are and the characters are very well fleshed out. This is easily one of my top 10 favorite novels of all time.

I would recommend this book to anyone that has even a small amount of interest in science fiction. It is one of those kind of books that seems to reach out beyond the normal audience and gain appreciation by all sorts of different people. One of the best books written in the past thirty years.
