Since puberty, I had annoying moderate acne breakouts pretty frequently (once a week or so). To counter this, I desperately tried a great number of acne treating products, of which there is surely no shortage on the marketplace. I've tried many other products like Clearasil, Stridex, and even a bunch of other Neutrogena products; they all failed and sometimes even made it worse. Some brands have a strong (6% or so) concentration of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid which actually dries your face out so harshly that it becomes a perfect breeding ground for more bacteria. This neutrogena product, however, worked on me and within 2 weeks I saw a noticable decrease in breakouts. I continue to use it to this day and would say overall about a 95% reduction in pimples. The tricks that seem to make this product work are that it uses a milder version of peroxide and acid (about 1.5%) as well as having a combination system of 3 different gels that can be used together and are customized to work at different times of the day. The price is a little high compared to other products but I suck it up as it usually lasts for 2 months. This product is readily available online or at any local CVS/Walgreens/Walmart/etc. If you've tried everything and have had no luck, give this product a shot - it worked for me.
