Neutrogena Deep Clean Oil Controlling Mask By Jennifer Claerr on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Neutrogena Deep Clean Oil-Controlling Mask is a deep cleaning acne therapy, containing clay and beta hydroxy acids. You apply this orange scented cream to your face and simply allow it to dry. The mask hardens into a white, dry clay coating, and in about five minutes absorbs oil from deep inside the pores.

I have used this product many times, and have found it to be very effective at breaking up the awful glue of oil and dead skin cells which has a tendency to adhere itself to the surface of my face. It can be used two to three times a week and is not overly drying. The only downside is that the salicylic acid can trigger breakouts if you leave the mask on longer than five minutes. The mask is very pleasant to use and has a nice smell. The four ounces of product were not unreasonably expensive, especially seeing that a little bit goes a long way. I highly recommend this product for people with acne-prone, sensitive skin.
