Reviewing: Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash
Purchased at: Walmart     Price: $7.00 USD

My face had broken out for the first time, and I had seen commercials of Neutrogena on televison before. They looked pleasing, and a superstar used it, so I asked my mom if I could buy it. She said it wouldn't work, but I was stubborn. So I went out to buy it. The bottle was easy to put in a little corner in the shower, and it was compact, so I could take it anywhere on trips. Just make sure to sit it upright or you'll find yourself with a spill. The smell was pleasing. It smelled just like handsoap. Although I would have preferred a floral scent. The use of the product was not so great. My acne did not disappear at all. My breakouts were still there after using it. I think I even got a large pimple from it. I had to pop it when it didn't go away. Ouch for me. I think it even made my face reddish!! My skin got dry, too. It's gentle, yes, and it makes my face feel fresh. I love that feeling, but that's all it did for me. I guess I should trust my mom more next time.

Yeah - the one thing with most facial cleansers is that unfortunately, it can actually bring up new pimples to the surface as it cleans and the dryness you get on your skin is part of the product drying out the pores. I know once that happens, you don't want to give it weeks to help, because in the meantime, your face is red, dry and producing more pimples. Hope you can find something that works for you. I was an impatient youth and always popped mine - which is really the wrong thing to do. I bet if you write to them about the redness and experience you had, they may send you a coupon that you can use towards another product that you will like. It's worth a try anyway.
