Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture is a good, light moisturizer for sensitive and acne-prone skin. Oil-free, fragrance-free, and alcohol-free, it's one of the gentlest products out there.

This water-based formula lightly moisturizes skin without leaving behind a greasy film. It does absorb almost instantly, so it can be difficult to apply. I find it works best on slightly damp skin; the moisture helps the lotion slide over the face more evenly. Also, be wary of the pump, which dispenses lotion fast and straight forward. Hold the bottle in your hand and use one finger to gently pump the moisturizer directly into your palm.

Directions call for one pump of product per application, and I definitely recommend sticking to one or two pumps only. The product doesn't have the heft to cure super-dry skin, and overapplying it won't do anything except clog pores. For those with sensitive and/or combination skin, regular use of the product should keep the skin from getting overly dry, particularly in the cold winter months.

The product works great under make-up. Wait a minute or so to let the Oil-Free Moisture fully absorb before applying foundation. Make-up will go on smoother and more evenly.

Neutrogena's Oil-Free Moisture is a useful, gentle moisturizer. For super-dry skin you'll need a more heavy-duty product, but for daily use that won't irritate skin or clog pores, Oil-Free Moisture is the right choice.
