Neutrogena Spot Cream By productguru on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This cream does the trick in terms of drying up acne and preventing the return of it, but one must be very careful to focus the cream on the area of irritation and not on any clear skin as it can be incredibly drying to the point of causing peeling (which can then cause further irritation and prolong the skin's recovery process). Ease of use could be improved if there were some type of applicator to use to apply the cream directly to the spot, thus eliminating 'spillover' onto clear skin. Compared to other products, this is definitely one of the fastest acting although it's difficult to tell if it's treating the problem deep in the pores or if it is just drying up the surface and the blemish doesn't have a chance to heal. I started out using this product once a day as the label recommends and then increased to twice a day but cut back the twice a day to every other day to reduce dryness. Overall, this is a good product and will benefit anyone looking for a quick clear up!
