I got a Nevada vest for Christmas and I must say that this product has been a pleasant surprise. I was never a vest guy growing up, I always was under the assumption that vests did not keep heat in. I will be the first one to admit that I was totally wrong!
I have to say that I love my vest; it is very warm and comfortable to wear. While it's not something to wear in the middle of January it is the perfect item to wear in the fall and spring. I find it keeps me warm enough while walking to school, but at the same time it's very breathable. I can wear my vest outside but if I am walking through a school building or sitting in class I don't have to take it off.
The outside shell is nylon which isn't overly water resistant, but it will keep your torso warm and dry during a small drizzle. The style is pretty generic like any other vest. I personally like the fact that it does have a chest pocket on the inside which allows me to keep certain articles protected while I walk.
Overall I would recommend a Nevada vest to anyone who was looking for a warm and comfortable product. At first I didn't think I was a vest guy, but after owning my first one I have a feeling I will be buying more in the future.

Sounds convenient and warm. Like you, I would not have thought that a vest would have done the job. But I guess I was wrong too:0)
I cannot seem to get my boys to wear vest..but I like the idea of this. Something to protect you from a chill, and the fact that it can keep some moisture off of valuables was dashing from one class to another is great too!

I like wests, but I have never had a warm one like this, for outside. I guess it's more of a guy thing, especially with all the pockets. :)
