Reviewing: Magellan Road Mate 1200
Purchased at: Circuit City     Price: $159.00 USD

We like to call her Maggie (Magellan shortened) & we purchased it 3 months ago.Being from Hawaii, the roads are much larger in the states & so much easier to get lost, of course in Hawaii if you get lost where can you go, it's an island.Maggie would've saved my husband & I from much unnecessary fights & stress had we purchased it sooner. If I can work it anyone can because I still can't even work my cell phone so it's very user friendly.Simply type in your city, street, & number then Maggie figures out different routes to your destination. You have a choice from fastest time, shortest distance, etc.Maggie is sleek & compact, fits easily into my handbag. The screen is 3.5 inches which is a good size to look at while driving & still won't interfere with your vision of the road. There are points of interest which makes places easier to find such as gas stations, restaurants, ATM's, coffee, & more. The battery lasts for a long time without needing to be recharged. If you miss a turn, Maggie will help you get back on track.Sometimes the accuracy for a location is slightly off but, it's still in the general area. The sticky pad for the mounting unit for the dashboard needs a bit more adhesive which my husband fixed with a little gorilla glue.Other than that it's a great deal & we highly recommend everyone getting one!

This sounds like a great product. I have lived in missouri my whole life and could still get lost in some parts of the city. lol! I think I might need one of these.

Aloha friend! I laughed when you said you can't get lost in Hawaii...it's an island. That is so true. I think I know my way around Oahu better than here on the mainland. I think this product sounds like something great and works for many people. I'll keep this in mind if I ever decide to get one.

I also can't work a cell phone so uder friendly is good to me. I need one of these badly, I get lost all the time, it's a joke now really to those who know me. I have been putting off the purchase because I did not think I would be able to work it, but now I think maybe I could, thanks.

We have a GPS as well, but ours is a Garmin...we call ours LoLa. Maggie is a fun & appropriate name for a Magellan. This unit sounds good as well & I never used to think i'd like a GPS, but on our last vacation, it came in really handy.
