The First Act Lap Harp, is a little instrument we picked out to try just simply because we were not very familiar with it. We wanted to try something different and we had seen this thing months earlier always strumming it once as we passed it but never bought one until now. The little First Act Lap Harp is very easy to handle and makes a very pleasant sound. I will say tuning is a little "odd" not a bad thing just unusual, to me anyway. The instrument is constructed very well and has a nice finish. The First Act Lap Harp comes with a set of cards that you lay underneath the strings and follow the picking pattern to play the songs. We haven't used those much as both my son and I just like to "play around" with it. This is a fun little instrument and it makes surprisingly nice sounds when played with a little thought. This would be a great first stringed instrument for anyone in my opinion. I have really enjoyed the one we have and will continue.
