New Caldeonia is a small french colonised island filled with hotels, resorts, great sites, beaches and friendly people. The main language is french filled with friendly natives. This island is surrounded by other islands and the beaches are filled with exotic marine wild-life. The water is lush, warm and clear and the small islands that you can visit usually have a memorial site like a very old and tall light house or some poles that have been designed natively. I recommned snorkling and doing as much as you can around the water. For example you could go on a small cruise or a boat trip and look through the glass floors at the new exciting species of fish, sea snakes and plant life that you have never seen before. The islands are worth the visit. It is best to visit the islands when it is a clear day. In the mainland, people sell delicious fruits and other objects or antiques. I've bought a shell and got a decent bargain. You can bargain a lot with these people. The island is mainy a great tourist spot and every minute you spend in that island is completely worth it. If you go on a school trip it would be a better experience. (p.s if anyone finds a green towel hanging from a tree on one of the islands then its mins:))
