New Moon

New moon is directed by Chris Weitz(American Pie). It is written by Melissa Rosenberg (Dexter) for the movie screen. New Moon stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Michael Sheen. This movie is the second in a series based on Stephanie Meyer's books of the same name.

New Moon continues the story that Twilight (the first movie in the series) started. It picks up as Edward, Bella and Jacob are reaching turning points in their lives. In this movie, Edward dumps Bella leaving her devastated and open to Jacob's charm. Bella comes up with the idea to test rather Edward is really gone or still lurking about. This movie is more of alove story than an action movie.

I still say if this series of movies were directed by better directors and were edited properly they could be better than they are. This would allow for character development and a real ending instead of ending abruptly. I liked this movie but I just feel it could be even better than it is. I really enjoyed the books. I guess books are better than the movies made from them.

New Moon is rated PG 13 for violence and is available on DVD..
