This story continues from the first book in the Twiilight series. It was originally published in hardcover in 2006. This title is call New Moon. It continues with Isabella Swan (Bella) and Edward (the hot vampire) who continue their love relationship. Edward throws Bella an eighteenth birthday party. As Bella begins to unwrap her birthday gift, she receives a paper vut. Jasper, one of the Cullens, is tempted and overwhelmed by Bella's blood and tries to attack her. Edward feels guilty and in an attempt to keep Bella safe, he leaves Forks, Washington. Bella becomes depressed and seeks friendship fom her family friend Jacob.

While spending time with Jacob, Bella begins seeking dangerous behavior to keep Edward's voice with her. While all of this is going on, Jacob discovers the he is a werewolf. He tries to keep the secret from Bell, but he ends up letting out his secret.

While all of this is going on, Alice (Edward's sister, and can see visions), gets a vision that Bella is dead. She rushes to Fork to check on Charlie and while she is there, she finds out Bella is still alive. Meanwhile, Edward calls Bella's home and Jacob answers and informs Charlie that he at a funeral. Edward assumes that it is Bella's (Charlie's friend dies of a heart attack). Edward flees to Italy and goes in front of the Voltri (peace keeping vampires) and begs them to allow himself to leave the world without Bella.

Bella and Alice go to Italy to find Edward andsave him before it is too late. While they are there, they find Edward, save him and run into the Voltri whi in turn tell them that Bella must be killed or turned into a vampire. They agree and Edward tells the Voltri that he will do it, however not now.

When they get back to Forks, Edward explains everything and asks for Bella's forgiveness. Will she forgive him and most important, will she die or be turned into a vampire herself?

I loved this book. The first was a little boring so it was refreshing that this one was bette. I found it hard to put the book down and I would reccomend this to anyone who has read the first book called Twilight.
