New Sheets Always Feel Great By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The last new sheets that I bought were very disappointing. After sleeping on them for 4 or 5 days, they started to "pill." That's when they get those crazy, gritty feeling areas. So now I'm experimenting to see what makes the difference. Is it thread count? Is it material?

These sheets came from Target, and they are queen-sized sheets. The color is a bright burgundy, and the blend is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. Quite frankly, the reason I bought them is because they were on sale for half price. They regularly cost $34.96, and they were on sale for $17.48. The set includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and 2 standard pillowcases. They are machine washable, and can be tumble-dried.

The thread count is not very high at 250. I definitely prefer a higher thread count. I will have to do an update, and let you know how they wear over time. I can tell you that they felt great when I put them on the bed, and they were very generous in size, and fit the mattress well.
