Newport Aquarium Newport, Ky By Deffenm on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

We took our kids ages 4, 7, 8 to the Newport Aquarium in Newport, KY. It cost us about $70 for the five of us. It was really easy to find the aquarium however parking was not easy to find. We did finally find parking and then found the aquarium. We arried just as they were opening at 10:00 am which was nice as it was not crowded. There were several tanks with fish to see and several tunnels where fish swam all around you. There were 2 areas where you could touch sea creatures and sharks. My kids loved that. They had a few hands on exhibts and a penguin area. The aquarium was clean and the flow was really good however I thought there was not enough to see. We were done with the whole aquarium in less then 2 hours. If I had not spent so much on the tickets it would not have bothered me but for the price I paid for 2 hours I could have bought a family season pass to our local zoo which is great. The area where the aquarium is located is very nice, Newport on the Levee, however I would not make a trip back there again.
