Nexcare First Aid Tape By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am on what they call maintenance drugs or pain management for my back issues and RA, one of the medications is a morphine patch that I wear, much like a band aid that I change every 72 hours. During that time I am moving, walking, showering, so in order for the patch to be effective it needs to stay in place. I found out the hard way, that the only way for that to happen is to tape the patch down, and I have tried a lot of several different brands of tapes.

This one is by Nexcare and 3M, it is called gentle paper tape. You can get it in white and tan, even though the color does not matter to me because I usually wear my patch on my tummy.

This is also what most hospitals refer to as surgical tape and it holds perfectly until I get ready to take it off at the end of the 3rd day, I am thrilled to of found this!

The rolls are 3/4" x 288" (or 8 yards) and a roll with last me for several good months and that is completely covering the patch with 3 strips.

If you need a tape to stay on the skin in the spot you put it, give this a try it works for me!
