In july 2008 I went to Niagara Falls (Canada side). It was my first time over there. After a 8 hour drive, we were glad to finally get there. There are 3 waterfalls in Niagara Falls, Horseshoe Falls in Canada, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls in United States. It's a beauty to watch the falls. Don't miss the Niagara Falls illumination in the evening. The falls are lit in the colors of the rainbow.

You can take a boat tour on the Maid of the mist, The boat will bring you very close to the falls. Don't worry, you won't get too wet. A raincoat is provided free with admission.

Don't miss the Niagara Falls fireworks. Watching fireworks is always wonderful. Imagine watching some that are cast in the sky just over the falls. It's beautiful.

We went to Marineland. Quite frankly, if you don't have small children, don't waste your money over there. It's a very small theme park.and aquarium. We didn't have any children with us and I think it took us like 1 1/2 hour to walk all over the park. We didn't watch all shows though. I was a bit disappointed as I thought I would be visiting the park all day long. But if you have small children, you can do different rides with them.

We did the Journey Behind the Falls activity. You get to descend 150 feet through bedrock to tunnels that lead behind the falls. I wouldn't pay for it.

In the area of Niagara Falls, there is a butterfly conservatory. I haven't been there but I heard it is a nice place. There are over 2,000 tropical butterflies floating freely among lush, exotic blossoms and greenery.

There is also a Botanical garden about 10 minutes from the Falls. There is 99 acres of beautifully maintained gardens.

There is an IMAX theater.

One evening, we went to the Skylon tower restaurant. It was delicious. The restaurant is at the top of the tower and it makes a 360 degrees turn every hour. We had a really nice view of the falls.

There are also casinos in Niagara Falls. I believe there are two. I have only visited the Fallsview casino which is very nice.

There are tons of other activities to do while in Niagara Falls. For more informations about this location, you can go to this website.

We went to Niagara Falls on our honeymoon and have made several trips back. Your review brought back great memories. Our dinner in the Skylon where I set my purse down on and then watched it move away from me!! The butterfly conservatory is great and I have pictures with one on my ear! Thanks for a great review and making me smile today!

I went over 20 years ago with friends and unfortunately, we went in January - NOT a good idea as everything is closed down for the winter. But we did get a discounted rate for the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum. I think we were the only 4 people in town. One day I'd like to go back and do all the touristy stuff. Good information.

I enjoy going to Niagara Falls in the winter because of the Festival of Lights on the US side, and seeing the lit-up frozen falls at night is just as spectacular as hearing the roaring falls and feeling the cool mist on a hot summer day.

I went to Niagara Falls once and it is a trip you'll never forget! It was beautiful the Falls were so big, the air was so fresh, it was like uncomparable to any place in the world. Such a good, informative review.
