My wife gave me a Geoffry Beene extra long slik tie as a gift. When you have a long torso the extra tall becomes handy for proper fit. You have to look around I suspect less than 10% of the ties made are extra longs. This Geoffrey Beene tie is a nice stain resistant silk with a nice sheen. It is gray in color with with white, brown, and maroon color stripes at about a 120 degree angle. It is a conservative design which stays in style. It is hand made in China. Besides looking real good with a lot of my suits. The tie resist wrinkles well and stands up to my day to day abuse well. I have had this tie for four years no which is great durability for a tie I wear often to work. Most ties I wear regularly last one to two years. It is quality construction and looks almost new after all that use. I recommend Geofrey Beene extra tall silk ties for anyone long in the torso and has to wear ties in a conservative business environment.
