Nick Hotel; Orlando Florida By Mom2One on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We stayed at the Nick Hotel for 2 days on our recent trip to Orlando. My son has been begging to stay here ever since he saw a commercial for it.

If you are looking for a quiet hotel, this is not it. There are a lot of families with young kids here. The pool area does get very noisy.

But with that said it looked like everyone was having a really good time.

The room itself was fantastic! It was very clean and very, very spacious. There are 2 sleeping areas, a "parents" room with a king bed and TV and then the kids have their own sleeping area, with 2 bed and a TV. There is also a sitting room area with another TV and a couch/chair. I really like the set up of this room. It felt spacious. Our room also had a microwave and a fridge.

We spent a lot of time at the pool. The lifeguards were very attentive and friendly. My son loved all the waterslides and spent the whole afternoon with a smile on his face. If you have older kids you have to try Club Slime. My son thought getting slimmed was the best thing. Be warned though that sometimes there is a long wait to get slimmed. I kind of wish they would have more slimming areas to help with this problem.

Another place we spent a lot of time in was the arcade. We spent a lot of money in here but it was a lot of fun.

The employees were helpful and friendly. We called down to the front desk for extra towels and they were delivered promptly.

This hotel does have a character breakfast. My advice is to try to get one of the first seatings because the more crowded it gets the more noisy it is too!

The food is pretty standard breakfast food, but they do have an omelet station where you can order omelets. I felt that was a nice touch.

The characters were OK. Some of them my son had no interest like, like Dora, but he thought seeing SpongeBob Squarepants were cool.

Our family liked this hotel. My son has asked when can we stay here again. This hotel might not be for everyone because of the noise and all the young children, but just keep in mind it is geared towards kids so there will be a lot of them there.

Though the room layout sounds perfect for families, the noise level would drive my family nuts. You've offered us plenty of good descriptive information on Nick Hotel, so anyone can make an informed decision.

Thanks for the information. I would love to be able to take my son one day. I know his daddy would love to go as well. It sounds so entertaining for the kids. Thanks for sharing.

We had a great time at the hotel....everything was perfect except the price. It is a little on the high side for what you get.
