Nights in Rodanthe

Nights in Rodanthe was another amazing romantic movie that moved me like not many movies do. This was such a romantic love story that was gripping and also kept me interested. It was also a very sad movie that made me want to tear up at the unfairness of it all. Adrienne Willis, played by Diane Lane, has been abandoned by her husband for someone younger and she heads to her best friends Inn in Rodanthe, North Carolina in order to recover from the loss. Also coming to the Inn is Paul Flanner, who is played by Richard Gere, is a doctor, who is looking to get through some problems. She does her best to make him comfortable while he is there. As time wears on, they begin to fall in love and several complications arise as a result. Her ex husband wants her back and a major hurricane threatens the area. She is brave enough in the end to let him go and find his estranged son. However, she gets word that he was killed and all her hopes for a bright future is dashed.

This was a brillant movie that was based on the bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks. I was saddened to learn of his death in the end but she was able to get through it with the strength of will and determination.
