Nikon Coolpix S51c Review

This camera is a camera that takes pictures at 8 megapixels. It has an Optical Zoom capability of 3x and Digital Zoom of 4x. However when zoomed digitally, small details in the picture is not very clearly visible. It has image stabilization that makes the pictures taken quite, if not absolutely, clear when shaking or movement occurs. The manual focus together with the auto focus means that one can focus properly on an object manually in case the auto focus fails. However, the auto focus was good enough that manual focus was not necessary. It has a movie with sound recording function and the sound was very clear compared to other cameras. The S51c also has a capability found in most Nikon cameras- WiFi photo transfer. Pictures from the camera can be transferred directly to a PC or Notebook over a WiFi connection. This eliminates the need for the cumbersome cables and card readers typical in other digital cameras. All these features come at a price of $180. A good buy.
