The nikon D40 lives up to his name as beign a Nikon camera by providing good quality photos and camera durability, and this time, at an affordable price. Since Nikon stopped focusing on the megapixel war, they removed some less important features and sent their focus on better aspects like having a decent viewfinder, shorter viewfinder blackout, and shorter shutter lag.For a D-SLR with a price of some point-and-shoot camera's, it's definitely without a doubt, a very great deal.
