Nina By Nina Ricci By Willow on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I was fascinated with Nina by Nina Ricci the moment I saw it. The 1.0 oz. spray bottle is shaped like a red apple with three silvery leaves. This smooth glass apple looked so beautiful that I immediately wanted to take it into my hands. Holding it felt very nice; I expected the fragrance to be that of apple, but when I opened the lid and sprayed some of the perfume on my wrist I was surprised to smell something totaly different. In fact, there was no hint of apple, which at that point I took as somewhat disappointing. The scent was very unique, fresh, somewhat floral, in between of sweet and tart. As I wore the perfume throughout the day, I grew to enjoy it. I suppose my initial disappointment was caused by my expectations of apple created by the bottle's shape.
Overall, I like Nina. I would say it is good for both younger and older women. While it is a little too pricy for me to consider purchasing, I would not mind receiving this beautiful red apple as a gift.

You've made me want to seek it out to both see the bottle and smell the fragrance! Sometimes you can get samples of a fragrance at the mall. I love that because I never know if a fragrance really suits until I've tried it at least two or three times.
I thought you all might enjoy reading the Tale of Nina. It was introduced in 2007. The apple represents tempation, from the Adam and Eve in the garden section of the bible. This scent was a major intro for the House of Ricci. http://www.nina-parfum.com/ASP/FS.asp?LNG=US&DIR=em:P-nina_cont
I have never heard of this fragrance before. I sure like the idea of the bottle it comes in.
This sounds like something I would love. I am always looking for new fragrances. I like the idea of the bottle too. Thanks
I keep smelling this fragrance in my magazines & it's so tempting to purchase!! Smart packaging because I bet others thought too that it would smell like apples!!
Sounds like a great perfume. The bottle sounds beautiful from your description.
I don't think I have ever seen this perfume. I am very sensitive to smells so I always have to be careful what ones I buy. I would have thought this one would smell a little like apples too.
I agree it is expensive but sweet and tart does remind me of apple.
I have seen the bottles, and they are stunning. Don't know nuttin' about the smelly stuff though!
