Ninety Nine Cent Facelift! By Rodney Ray on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought this paint to repaint the lid of an old outdoor grill, I have use this type of paint before and after this particular experience I decided it was time to write a review for this product. I noticed the upon replacing the lid after using the grill for the first time after painting that the finish seemed to bake onto the metal and become even tougher than the factory applied finish. I discussed this with a painter friend of mine and he said that the "cheaper" paints like these contain no hardener and makes them cure best with heat. He also said I could have just as easily burned the paint off with too much heat but I must have just hit the right temperature. I have since used this type of paint on small engines that get really hot and have had really good results as a heat resistant paint. keep in mind the paint is no way advertised or intended for this use but it does a great job and I just had to recognize it in some way.
