If your a casual gamer looking for an intuitive and new gaming experience, the DS is for you.

Id even recommend it over the Wii given that its alot smaller and has graphics that rival that of the Nintendo 64, and is also much cheaper, giving you the all important time to pull it out on the bus and play it, which brings me to my next point, the design.

The Nintendo DS has a very excellent design, I feel comfortable pulling it out, and whipping out my stylus for a quick game of picross or some kirby. It could easily be a blackberry or an odd Palm pilot and I feel as though Nintendo has outdone themselves for that reason.

The game selection is quite good, but the only games that truly shine are really the Nintendo 1st Party titles, itll be hard to get better than mario and zelda games. The 3rd party titles are ok, but the stylus support for them is often lacking or just plain gimmicky and the graphics could be better.

The only giant flaw in the DS is the sound system, which is portable, but it sounds very tinny and small attimes, and also if youve been holding the Nintendo for a prolonged amount of time it can get tiring in your arms. The shoulder buttons are also prone to breakage, but nintendo will send you more or outright replace/fix your nintendo ds should you have a problem like that.

Highly Recommended.
