Nintendo DS
By rose33oo onA friend of mine has this handheld game system and let me play it. The system has 2 screens, one is like a monitor that you view the game in and the other is a touchscreen which also shows the game. It comes with a small pen for the touchscreen that stores in the back of the system. I think this system is just the right size to have fun with and not have trouble seeing what you are doing!
The main thing that got my attention and that I loved was the touchscreen. My friend had bought extra pens for hers so that she didn't have to use the little one that it came with. The ones that she bought are just like regular pens so they are easier to hold. There was one particular game that I played and you had to write numbers and the game would try to recognize what you are going to write before you write it. I didn't care much for that because I would get in a hurry and click out of it and the answer would be wrong. I guess that's bound to happen though.
There is also a microphone and one particular game I played you had to say your answer in it. I thought the system actually recognized my voice pretty good. I would try to speak louder thinking it couldn't hear me and it wouldn't be able to tell what I said. If I repeated what I said in a regular tone it understood me.
It seems like there are a ton of fun games for it too. My 6 year old played with it for a while and I thought we were never going to get it away from him!!

Sounds like fun! Thanks for the great info.
I never knew that there were games that included use of a microphone. This is cool, but my kid loves her Gameboy. :)
My daughter has a DS and loves here. She has a game about pets that uses the microphone too. She call out commands and her pet responds to what she says.
