Nintendo Ds By The Defier By TheDefier on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Another great invention for Nintendo, the Nintendo DS. Inspite of the graphics not exactly up to par with other competition, the best quality of the Nintendo would have to be its Game Selection. The Nintendo DS has so many exclusive games that are top-rating, some of these would be Nintendogs, Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney and that Surgeon game that allows you to be a virtual surgeon (Come on, the originality of the game speaks for itself.)

The controller type is innovative and very unique due to the Double-Screen feature of the console. You can use your fingers or the Touchstick.

As I mentioned earlier, the graphics aren't that great. They're practically a slightly upgraded version of the Game Boy Advance's graphics. This does not mean the graphics are horrible for all games, there are still some good graphic games on the DS.

Overall, the DS is a great console. It will keep you at it during those long car rides, during boring family gatherings, during any boring time of the day!

The Nintendo DS can support animated cutscenes with games whereas the Game Boy Advance has to settle for stillshots. Maybe from what you listed, you haven't played any games with good graphics. Take a look at videos for Lunar Knights' cutscenes, Chrono Trigger, or Suikoden Tierkreis. Of these 3 games, I find Chrono Trigger to be the best, although mediocre, but still it has good graphics with those cutscenes. However, I understand what you're saying graphically about a lot of other games for the Nintendo DS, like Phoenix Wright or Scurge Hive.
