Nintendo Ds Is Fun For All Ages By tunskit on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am not a gamer. My husband is the video game fanatic in the family, and I expect our toddler will follow in his footsteps. When my husband bought the DS, I had no interest in it. He kept at me to try it,saying it was more "my speed." I am not good with buttons and controlling directions. I get confused easily by different maneuvers I'm supposed to perform. When I found out this system uses a stylus for many of its games, I decided to try it. I played BRAIN AGE first, and enjoyed it. The graphics are good for the size of the screen, as is the audio. I like that you have a good range of volume control, and the system can use headphones to spare others the sound of the game. I love the portability of the system and games, and the battery holds its charge for a long time.

I would give this a completely rave review, but I do find the stylus somewhat awkward and uncomfortable to use, especially for a long period of time. The stylus that comes with the system is too thin and short. I have purchased one that is more like an ink pen, but the tip on that one isn't as precise for some games. I have yet to find one that is perfect.
