Nintendo DS Lite
By digbybare onI sold my previous fat DS and bought the new lite model in onyx black. It is an improvement in almost every way. The main problem with the fat DS was that it was just way too large to be a portable. The DS Lite is smaller, but not significantly so. By streamlining the design and compacting it, it makes for a much more portable design.
The brightness control is also a huge plus. You can turn down the brightness down to save batteries, and when playing outside in the sun, turn the brightness up to see.
The only two problems are that the new compact design does not allow for a GBA cartridge to fit fully, so when playing GBA games, they stick out about an inch. Also, the new microphone placement is inconvenient. Few games use the mic, but when they do, I don't want to have to hover over the bottom screen to use it.
