Nintendo Ds Lite By Dark Sol By DarkSol on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought a Nintendo DS Lite over a year ago. I had been rather reluctant to buy it because at the time, there were not a lot of games out for it, but the control set, the touch screen, was rather intriguing. I bought one and picked up Super Mario 64 DS with it.

The handheld system is actually quite light, and very portable. I'm able to take it with me on long trips in the car, on the plane or even to class with me because of it's very small size. It won't fit into a pants pocket unless you have very large pockets, but a backpack pocket would be fine.

Thankfully, there is a large variety of games for the handheld, both through Nintendo and through third party publishers. Almost all the genres are out there. Some people, like myself, who have big hands might feel a little cramped trying to hold it and play at the same time. I regularly feel my pinky fingers growing numb after I play awhile, which is about an hour or so.

The battery lasts a long time between charges and one can continue to play even when it is charging.

I have to say that I really enjoy the DS.
