Nintendo Ds Lite By Jessica Ne By Jessica Ne on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
WOW! This is a magnificant little machine. My husband got me this about a year ago in the Coral Pink and I didn't stop playing until I found out I was pregnant! This is the ultimate handheld video game system.
First of all, it is called DS for dual screens, the top screen is the one you watch and the lower screen is a touch screen needed to play the games along with the directional pad and the ABXYLR buttons. It is the most refreshing concept ever, until of course Nintendo released the Wii. The overall gameplay for every game I've played is great and the visibilty on the lite version versus the original DS is 100 times better. All they did was light the screens from behind to fight glare and dark spots. If you buy any handheld go with the DS Lite over all competitors. It may not play moives but overall the games and the experience is more fun. Whether your playing the guitar or racing Mario, the gaming experience is taken to another level with the DS. Moms this is the game to buy your kids because learning games are also available, like Brain Age Academy.
The DS Lite also will play any and all Nintendo Game Boy Advance games you may have still laying around the house. The battery stays charged a very long time and unlike the Sony PSP, when your finished playing just fold it up and protect your screens. (The PSP has no screen cover). Hoping this helps deciding on Christmas easier enjoy your DS Lite!

Hey, I need one of these! I borrow my son's all the time.
My daughters' DS just broke , so it's great to know how much you like the lite for when it's time to buy a replacement!
My cousin had one and I played That's So Raven on it. It was a lot of fun!
I love mine too! I am hooked on NintenDogs :P
oops, guess I am out. get it next month
I have the regular DS and love it. My husband and I were talking last night that its funny that I preferthe DS and he has a PSP that he loves. I have to say one plus is the touch screen for me. I do wish it would connect to the internet like the PSP. In the last few months of pregnancy this is what I did all the time. It was the only thing that I wasn't too big and uncomfortable to do lol.
I love my DS Lite.
