Nintendo Gamecube By Yangmun Choi By Yangmun Choi on - Updated Sep 26, 2011
The Nintendo Gamecube Entertainment System is a nice group oriented gaming system to own. It primarily boasts a small physical size and an intuitive controller; in other areas it is towered by the power of the Playstation 2 or the Xbox entertainment systems.
The best part of the Gamecube system is the controller design. It is very ergonomic on the hands and buttons are easy to press. Also, the buttons are named very intuitively, with the A button as the most used and the largest.
In terms of hardware specs the Gamecube is the underdog of the generation of systems. However, the graphics are not horrendous, and do match up to the other systems.
The game selection is the weakest on this console. Most games are mediocre, factory press games, such as Mario Tennis or Mario Kart. But one of the best games ever, Super Smash Brothers, has a sequel on the Gamecube, Super Smash Brothers: Melee. Also, there are some Gamecube exclusive innovative games, such as Eternal Darkness: Requiem and Viewtiful Joe.
