Nintendo Wii By Baseline By Baseline on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As a person who's used the Xbox 360 and PS3, I must say that I would gladly give up both of those consoles for the Wii. Not that there is anything wrong with those consoles, they are just fine, but I am more of the person who turns on their console when there is company over, for fun. I'm not the guy that comes home and jumps on video games to play online or by himself. I think it's now obvious that the Wii is the undisputed party machine, and because of that, I'll go buy another one if this one ever breaks.

My main gripe with the Wii is the accessories cost. The Wii-Motes are a bit pricey. I think they shouldn't be much more than $25, but I see them at stores for $50. Then add onto that the price of the nunchucks. Just to have 4 complete controllers is going to end up costing you more than the console. So, in the end, for a console with last-gen graphics, this ends up costing as much as current-gen.

Still, at the end of the day, it's ten times more fun when playing with friends and family. That's what sells the Wii. They pulled it off.
