Nintendo Wii By Billtkatt By billtkatt on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Purchased this mainly so my son would be more active! Kids these days are centered on video games, instead of going outside they want to stay in and sit at the TV all day! Ok so i also bought it cause me and my wife do love video games, and thought this would be cool..... and it is!
The unit is pretty small, and you are able to play Gamecube games in it as well as WII games. It has a wireless controler that comes with it (we bought another with a nunchuck). It has a scanner that goes on top of your TV to "see" the controller, and what your doing with it. So you move the controller, and it happens on your tv.
The games do get you active, and you will sweat! When you play it with the family, you are moving around, and are talking with each other, etc. So it's great if you have "family game time".
The best feature is the Wi-Fi connection. If you have a wireless network, you can surf the net on your TV for free! You can also download old super nintendo, sega, regular nintendo, and other games off the internet if you buy points. Most of the older games are 500 points, or 5 bucks. We got Double Dragon, Mike Tyson's Punch-out, and others for the unit.
I HIGHLY recommend this unit for anyone who loves video games, and wants to try something new! The only downside is the title selection could be much better... but i'm sure this will change with time.
