Nintendo Wii By Nicholas Harrell By Nicholas Harrell on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Price wise, the least expensive of the next gen consoles is the Wii. Cheaper games too. The graphics are to par with the Gamecube though, and it will play gamecube games as well with a GC controller. The virtual console also allows people to download older system games such as NES, SNES, and Genesis for a reasonable price. The game selection is kinda low for the system now though, with few blockbusters. But games like Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 and others are driving sales. The controller is very innovative, and works very well. Also a great source of exercise for people older and younger. Also a very good gateway system for older people that have never played any kind of games before. I personally have enjoyed great games like Wario Ware, where you can play mini games to learn the controls to others. The sensor bar is very sensitive, so you can easily get it to pick up on every movement you make. You really need a lot of room for this system, as I have to clear out the tables in the living room to make sure people have all the room nessesary. Also, if you have friends play this, keep the strap on the wrist. Only drawback of this system is the amount of batteries you will go through if you don't get the rechargable battery pack. So buy one of those with it. But other than that, very innovative system for the price. Very recommended if you can find one in stock anywhere.

We love ou WII. My 6 year old son is the expert, but my teenage daughter is hooked on Guitar hero3 and hubby and I love the simple ones like bowling. It has something for all of us and gets us playing together as a family as well as some needed exercise in the process. I can not say enough great things about the WII.

I love the wii. My favorite game is wii sports. And I like making little mii's. It is really good exercise. Unfortunately I can't afford one right now so I'm left to bum off of my friends. But when I can get a system, I will be getting a wii. Thanks.

I've been eye the Wii for awhile now! The Umbrella Chronicles for it make it a real enticing choice to purchase!
