Nintendo Wii By Poke Joe By PokeJoe on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Wii is Nintendo's newest console. It features the montion sensitivity of the wiimote, providing a completely new way to play games. The game selection is a bit limited though, but has been growing steadily. It boasts the "Virtual console" where you can purchase old games from systems like the Sega Genesis or the Nintendo 64. It has backwards compatability with GameCube games and features a variety of useful and entertianing "channels." One of these, the News channel is updated several times a day with news from all over the world, sorted into categories. It has a web browser as well, and a weather channel where you can check the weather of almost anywhere in the world. It comes packed with "Wii Sports" and one Wiimote and nunchuck. I find myself using the various channels more than the games themselves, but if you've always wanted to play back games it's pretty nice.
