Nintendo Wii Offers Innovation, Little Gameplay By Matt Irwin on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Nintendo Wii is the next big console for Nintendo. After astounding the gaming world with its top-selling Nintendo DS, Nintendo continued on its line of innovation by creating a system that allows you to control games with a "Wiimote". Although this innovation is certainly welcome, the Nintendo Wii is currently suffering due to a simple lack of games to play on it. Although games like Rayman Raving Rabbits certainly do a good job of demonstarting the ability of the Wiimote, they can only entertain for so long. However, I have not yet played Metroid Prime 3 or Super Mario Galaxy, so perhaps Nintendo has finally released their "killer titles". Regardless, Nintendo needs to invite more 3rd party support; although Nintendo games are great, I would love to see what some other companies could do with the technology. If you're considering buying a Wii, I would honestly wait to see if any more impressive games are announced, because as it stands buying a Wii now would be a letdown for me.
