This is the first exfoliant that I have used that has been strong enough to clean my face, and do so very well - but at the same time is not too harsh for facial use, and is not abrasive at all. It is gentle enough for facial skin, but do not use it daily as your skin will lack moisture, for best results use it three times a week or so as part of your nightly regiment.

The scent is nice, fresh - and it doesn't take more than a quarter size dallop of the product to have a great facial scrub, and prevent oily skin - therefore this is not an acne treatment - but it does work in preventing oil and buildup on your skin and therefore is going to prevent breakouts.

It is a good scrub, although it does not foam it cleans deep beyond the first layer of skin. I find it most effective to use before bed to have nice clean skin while you sleep.
