Purchased at: Superstore/Loblaws

THIS IS FOR CANADIANS ONLY (as far as I know)

If you are from Canada, you may be familiar with the Supermarket Superstore or Loblaws (different names in Eastern and Western Canada) but are practically the same store.Under their brand, President's Choice (PC), they have a no fees banking option available.Sign up is easy with a few forms to fill and then your account is set up.I have a savings and checking accounts activated and manage all my money online at their site.It is easy to navigate and if you have any problems, you may phone them as well.Firstly, my checking account has no fees for most transactions.I can easily transfer money between checking and savings account with checking to savings instantly and savings to checking the next business day.I am using the savings plus savings account which gives a 4% annual interest rate (4% / 12 months so about 0.33% per month) which requires a minimum of $1000 to be in the account. They are partnered with CIBC to use their ATM machines for no additional fees and I find that CIBC ATM's are fairly easy to access.Checks are easily delivered to your house when needed and can be requested by phone or online. This is a simplistic and easy banking option for anyone that wants to avoid loads of banking fees.Check their service since some services requires fees (although I haven't had the need to use those services so far).

These are in the stores here and it looks like it would be super convenient...haven't opened anything with them yet but have considered it. Thanks for the info, just might look into this for savings.

I had an account like that with royal bank along time ago and they ended up making me which my account to a paid one. So I am wonder how long this PC no fees will last. I will look into it though.
