No More Mo Skee Tos By Jallyson on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Want a happy baby? Lay them in a play pen under a tree when there's a breeze- they can watch the leaves swaying gently, watch the birdies flying overhead, watch the hornet as it lands on the playpen and starts making its way down the side- wait, what?!?!
Summer is here, and with it come the bugs. Skeeters, hornets, bees, black flies, you name it. If you have a baby under 6 months of age, though, you can't use bug spray. What's a mom to do to keep her child safe? Get this play yard netting from Especially for Baby!
I decided to bring my 4 month old outside one day, and discovred she absolutely loves to lie in her playpen under a tree- she was so content to just lie and play. However, I had to bring her in after a few minutes, since I kept seeing bees and hornets around, and mosquitos were coming in for the kill. That night we went to BRU and found this netting- it was so worth the $7.99!! It slides easily over the top of the playpen and comes down over the sides, so the buggies can't find any little niche to flit through. It wroks great, too- I've had the baby out for hours the last few days, with nary a bug bite to be found (the rest of us is a different story!)
My only complaint is that it does already have a slight tear in it, which was easily sewn up in a few minutes' time- however, who knows what my husband may have done to it to get that tear (squeezed it through the door without folding it perhaps? LOL)
Anyone who lives in a buggy neck of the woods needs to have this product!
Especially for Baby Play Yard Netting Purchased at: Babies R Us Price: $7.99

oh man where was this product when my son was a baby? Living in Minnesota we could have really used this!
We had something similar when our daughter was a baby. It attached to the playpen and prevented insects or debriss from harming her. These are wonderful for outdoor trips
