No More Naked Clay Pots By JPnMO on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love plants, both indoors and out. Their presence brightens the area and gives a room a look of warmth. Even an empty room will brighten with the addition of a single plant.

Over the years, I've bought my fair share of pots. From little ones to huge ones, cheap and expensive, I've learned that a gorgeous expensive pot won't necessarily make my plants do any better. I've probably had better luck with simple clay pots and I use many of them.

The problem with clay pots is that they can be boring. A simple clay pot in the right place is great, but some areas need a bit more decoration. That's where the Decorative Pot Holders come in. They can change the look of a plain pot into something that fits in with your decor.

When I bought my holders, there was a large selection of designs to choose from. There were flowers, hummingbirds, chili peppers, various animals and other things I can no longer remember. From the kitchen to the bedroom to your patio, there is a design for each space. I have the quilt design in a bedroom, while the wolves sit on my deck.

Each holder is made of metal and is well crafted. It holds a standard size pot. The holder is designed to keep the pot lifted so that the pot itself will not be touching your table or the ground. Though these were marketed to hold clay pots, there is no reason they can't be used with any type pot that fits. The base opening is approximately 4" wide and the top is 6" wide while the holder is 5" tall.

I've enjoyed these and wish I had bought more before the garden shop that sold them went out of business.

Update Posted on :

I've had severeal people contact me about how they can find some of these. Unfortunately, the shop where I got mine went out of business and the holders have no identifying information on them. I have been searching online to see if I can find them, but so far I haven't. If I do, I will post the information here in another update.

I love clay pots, finding them much healthier for most plants. I like these clay pot slips, because they add an extra dimension in the garden. Wonder if you can simply hand paint some of these you have, since I cannot find these anywhere.

Those are the prettiest pot holders I've ever seen. So of course, they aren't available any more.
