OK, this is my husbands absolute favorite suit...and he wears them everyday! The original price for this suit is actually about $400 but he got it on clearance on the Joseph A Bank website. I do not know much about suits but he will help me with a few of the details.
This is from J A Bank's Traveler Collection. They are a line of 100% wool suits that are anti-wrinkle, stain resistant, and have natural stretch. It has some nice interior features also including 5 pockets inside the jacket, and one is a special security pocket for your passport and things. They also have a stretch waist.
The jacket is a full European cut 2 button suit. That means the shoulders are of generous proportions with little shoulder padding and the midsection is also very open. The two button is a classic look that a lot of times is better for men with large bellies like my husband. Inside there are multiple pleats in the lining to make it easy to move around without feeling constricted. The jacket hangs well and has a center rear vent for ease of movement.
The trouser, they call them trousers, are also all wool and have a stretchy waist band. The slacks come with brace buttons, also known as suspenders, already sewn in for dressy suspenders/braces. The pant is also what is called lined to the knee. That means there is a very thin lining in the front of the legs from the waist to the knees to keep the pants from ridding up, or catching on boxers, and also to help keep the wool off of the bare skin. Apparently this is a hallmark of quality. The trouser also has a rear pocket button on the left rear pocket for keeping your wallet safe.
The suit can be ordered with the legs hemmed or unfinished to get the best fit for your body. My husband works for one of this company's competitors but still wears this suit for its superior durability, dependability, and comfort. He always is looking for more of them on sale. All in all, this seems to be a very high quality suit for anyone that needs one... It also looks really good!

This sounds like a great suit. Men can never have too many suits. I hope he is able to find more on sale. I never knew about the lining that stopped at the knee. Very interesting to learn that!
