Nokia 6233 By EricBauman on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Nokia 6233 came out just before Nokia added a new line of more sleek slim phones to it's already vast lineup. Due to a delay in shipping I received the phone just as a huge advertising campaign for the new models started. To my surprise a lot of people thought my phone was the new phone they saw on billboards. This makes clear that although it's design is nearly a year old now, the 6233 is still a phone that people think of as looking good. There's a few problems with it's design though:

It's pretty thick. The newer phones most manufactureres have come up with since are a lot slimmer than the 6233.

The silver line around the front can get dinged and scratched fairly easily, making it look a lot worse than it is.

The lid to the battery compartment has a tendency to slip of.

Other than that, I'm really happy with this phone. Most options are dependant on your provider, but the basics are enough to satisfy anyone looking for a phone just a tad under the smart phone category. The battery life can be a bit short, but that depends on what you use it for. If you take a lot of pictures or talk for hours the battery will only last you something like four days, but it's entirely possible to make it last for more than a week.
