I love cell phones with bigger screen. A few months back I had purchased a used Nokia N72 at a good price and was very excited as it had a really big screen. I had heard many good things about Nokia N series so I wanted to buy a N95 but when my friend told me about selling her Nokia N72 I ended up buying it instead.
Nokia N72 is a bar-shaped phone made of plastic and is in glossy black color with a silver lining around the top . It has a big screen and some really good FEATURES such as: FM Radio, Digital Music Player, 2 Mega Pixel Video Flash & Video Call Camera, Built-in Flash, 2GB memory and a Bluetooth.
PROS:
Nokia N 72 like other Nokia set is easy to use and light in weight. It has no complicated keys or functions. Like Nokia 6600, N72 also has a Go to menu function which acts as a 2nd main menu, giving access to tools like inbox, notes, calendar, etc., depending upon the user preferences and can be changed according to his/her choice.
Camera: Nokia N72 has a good 2 Mega pixels camera. It has a sliding camera lens cover which is good for taking quick pictures and also keeps the lens protected when not in use.
Radio: It has a FM radio which is accessible through a headset only which delivers avery clear n quality voice.
Recorder: The Nokia N72 phone is equipped with a sound recorder which can record 1-minute sound clips. You can save several 1 minute sound clips in its memory.
CONS :
It lacks important features like :Infrared, and 3G memory card as most of other same priced phones.
The duration of each sound clips is only of 1 minute. You cannot record more than a minute which is very irritating and frustrating most of the time.
The phone response is very slow whenever using 2 applications at a time.
N72 is made of a shiny black plastic which just looks cheap.
Worst of all is that the battery talk time is very short.
I have also heard that N72 gets hanged but I have not experienced any such thing with my set yet.
Well if you ask me whether I can recommend Nokia N72 then I would say NO, because despite of its Good camera images and good sound quality I just did not like N72. It lacks both the good looks and many important features like infrared, bigger memory, size of recording clips. Furthermore, the biggest drawback is its Low Battery Life.
Unlike most of the other Nokia mobile phones I did not like N72 at all. N72 has not been able to capture its marker share and faced many controversies. I am also among those who would just not recommend it. There are many better products available in the market.

I hear that batteries die on the one you mention . My son tossed his and no longer has a Nokia.
I like the big screen and the features but it seems its performance is of poor quality so I would avoid getting one like this.
Too bad your friend didn't tell you about all the bad features of this phone. Probably why she wanted to sell it! Hope you find a better phone to use soon.
nokia makes good phones. but some models r not as good as shown. its sad u get one with problems
I wouldnot Nokia praise very highly either except that they are no doubt are very durable cell phone,They are very rough n tough you drown them,drop them from heights nothing would happen to them. N72 is the advance and flop model of Nokia N70 .N70 was the very succesful model .They added more features but with same battery capacity that's why the talk time is short and it hanged.Though the hanging problems has been solved in new n72 cell .Sad you got the wrong Nokia try N70 music addition .its good with all the features.
Nokia has some good cell phones in the market .I agree about N72 not being so popular like N70 .Sad that your friend werenot honest with you when selling it to you.You learn from your mistakes!
